Join us during La Trobe Pride Week for a special Finding Pride workshop designed for LGBTQIA+ students.

This interactive online workshop offers a welcoming and affirming space to connect with other LGBTQIA+ students, reflect on shared experiences and develop practical skills to support wellbeing and self-acceptance.

Together, we’ll explore how self-compassion can help us respond to self-doubt and self-criticism, celebrate the strengths and resilience within our communities, and identify small steps towards living authentically and in line with what matters most to us.

Whether you’re newly exploring your identity, have been part of the community for years, or are simply looking to connect with other LGBTQIA+ students during Pride Week, you’re welcome

What to expect:

• Connection with other LGBTQIA+ students
• Conversations about belonging, identity and self-acceptance
• Practical self-compassion and wellbeing strategies
• Reflection on personal strengths, values and sources of pride
• A supportive and inclusive environment
  
  No previous attendance at Finding Pride is required. Please register no later than Monday 24 August.

Do you find yourself:

• Staring at your screen, unsure where to start?
• Scrolling through social media, watching videos, cleaning the house or completing random tasks instead of tackling assignments or other important tasks?
• Feeling overwhelmed by tasks and unsure how to proceed?

You’re not alone. Procrastination is a common challenge among students. The ACT on Procrastination program, offered by La Trobe’s Counselling team, is designed to help you overcome these hurdles – giving you practical tools to shift your mindset and take action.

What you will gain:

In this three-session online program, you will:

• Understand your personal procrastination patterns.
• Learn strategies to boost motivation and take committed action
• Use strategies to change unhelpful behaviours.
• Have the chance to connect with other students who get it—you’re not in this alone.

Session dates:

You attend all three sessions:

• Wednesdays:
  • 26 August
  • 9 September
  • 16 September (there is no session during mid semester break)

Time: 1.30-3.30pm

Location: Online via Zoom (link provided upon registration)

This is a small group program. To help create a supportive space, we ask that you:

• Have your camera on (as much as you’re able to)
• Arrive on time to each session
