SUMMARY:Finding Pride
DESCRIPTION:Finding Pride is a 8-week resilience and wellbeing group program for La Trobe students. It is run by LGBTIQA+ people – for LGBTIQA+ people.\n\n\n\nUsing Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles\, this program will support you to: \n\n\n\n\nExplore your core values and how they can help to guide you through tough times.\n\n\n\nShare your experiences in a safe\, welcoming and confidential space.\n\n\n\nConnect with others through common experiences.\n\n\n\nLearn to face life challenges\, including those caused by discrimination.\n\n\n\n\nSecure a place in our 2026 Semester 2 online program\, commencing 11 August (Week 5). \n\n\n\nTo register:\n\n\n\n\nComplete the online form.\n\n\n\nWhen completing the form\, select these options: For “What sort of assistance do you need?” choose “Group Program Registration.”For “Which Group Program are you expressing interest in?” choose “Finding Pride.”\n\n\n\nFor “Would you like a phone call prior to attending group?” select “Yes” (this call is required).\n\n\n\nUse the text box to share your preferred semester or add comments (optional).\n\n\n\n\nIf you have any questions before registering\, please contact Bodhi via LGBTIQA.Programs@latrobe.edu.au. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKey dates\n\n\n\nThe Finding Pride program runs once per semester\, with students attending seven 90 minute sessions over eight weeks. \n\n\n\nStart date: Tuesday 11 August\, Week 5Final session: Tuesday 29 September\, Week 11Time: Tuesday afternoons\, 1:30pm – 3pmLocation: Online via Zoom \n\n\n\nNote: no session in mid-semester break (1 September) \n\n\n\nWho can join?\n\n\n\nFinding Pride is for all La Trobe LGBTIQA+ students who are questioning\, discovering\, or unsure if they belong in LGBTIQA+ communities.
