Employment opportunity for students: Education Assistance Workers

AccessAbility and Inclusion (A&I) support students across the University with a variety of services including, where applicable, the provision of Education Assistance Workers (EAWs).

EAWs are required in all disciplines across the University and can perform a variety of tasks such as acting as notetakers, participation and transition assistants, tutors, and exam readers/scribes.

EAWs are employed and paid through Dixon Appointments and A&I is currently assisting with recruiting for current and future vacancies.

We are seeking motivated students to apply for these roles. Pay varies between $36.28 per hour + superannuation for a Note Taker and $41.39 per hour + superannuation for a Transition Assistant. Hours are flexible depending on demand.

To apply you will need:

  1. Evidence of right to work: All employees are required by law to prove their legal entitlement to work in Australia. Please provide the necessary evidence to verify this.
  2. Working with Children Check: La Trobe requires all employees (direct and on-hired) to hold and maintain a current Working with Children Check.
