The Premier has announced some further easing of public health restrictions, effective 11:59pm on Sunday 18 October although for metro Melbourne this is not the full measures of Step 3 on the previously released roadmap to ‘COVID normal’.
Metro Melbourne
For adult education settings (which includes universities) the settings still mean that University operations are ‘restricted’ including:
- continue to learn from home if you can
- strict controls on students approved to attend campus or undertake placement or fieldwork activities
Borchardt library level 1 will be open from Tuesday 20 October – 9am to 8pm Mon-Fri and 10-3 Sat/Sun as a study space.
Regional Victoria
In regional Victoria restrictions for social gatherings have been eased. For adult education settings (which includes universities) the settings still mean that University operations are ‘restricted’ including:
- continue to learn from home if you can
- only attend on-site where approved for hands-on, skills-based learning
- you must not travel to metropolitan Melbourne except for permitted work purposes, care and compassionate reasons or shopping for food and supplies (if necessary)
