COVID-19 vaccination requirements – Invitation to give feedback

The below was emailed to all students on 27 June 2022

We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and government health directions, and the health and safety of our students and staff remains our first priority.

As mentioned in Friday’s email, recent changes announced by the Victorian Government have seen the removal of the requirement for mandated two-dose vaccination for higher education.  Vaccination requirements do, however, remain for:

• Health-related and other sensitive settings where a booster is mandated, and

• Immigration, where full COVID vaccination is required for entry into Australia.

In considering the impact of the latest pandemic orders for La Trobe’s current vaccination requirements, the University is seeking feedback from students and staff to help inform our review of the policy

All students and staff are invited to respond to the survey. This survey will remain open for feedback until 11.59pm Sunday 3 July.

Survey responses are anonymous, and your participation is entirely voluntary. The summary results of the survey will be provided to La Trobe’s Senior Executive Group and will help inform decisions, in conjunction with public health advice and expertise, around any changes to our current vaccination settings as outlined in the COVID-19 Health and Safety Procedure

As a reminder, all current settings regarding COVID vaccination requirements will remain in place throughout the consultation process.

Thank you in advance for providing your feedback, and any changes to our current settings will be communicated before the beginning of Semester 2.

In the meantime, please continue to look after one another and all members of our University community by following the COVIDSafe guidelines whenever you are on campus.
