Bendigo / Walk with us to help end Family Violence

Did you know:

  • On average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner.
  • 1 in 3 Australian women have experienced physical violence since the age of 15.
  • 1 in 5 Australian women has experienced sexual violence.

There’s never been a more important time to stand up against family violence.

And that’s why La Trobe wants you to join in this month’s Greater Bendigo Against Family Violence walk, taking place on Wednesday 27 November from 12.00pm.

Join the La Trobe contingent by gathering at Sidney Myer Place (next to the Tourist Information Centre on Pall Mall) from 11.30am.

Listen to speeches from those affected by family violence before uniting behind the La Trobe banner to walk through Bendigo, a way to show the community that Family Violence is unacceptable and must end now.

Spread the word: all staff and students are invited.

We look forward to seeing you there.
