A message to Shepparton students about COVID-19 in your community

The following is a message from Shepparton Head of Campus, Elizabeth Capp.

As you will have seen from media reports, three COVID-positive cases have been identified in Shepparton. These are linked to the Chadstone outbreak. The high-risk locations in Shepparton are listed on the Department of Health and Human Services website and the Department is asking all residents to review these locations to see whether they may be a close or casual contact and, if so, to present for testing.  The Department updates its website of high risk locations daily so please check this regularly.

if you are in self-isolation or receive a positive test result, please inform Spomenka Krizmanic, Manager, Health, Safety & Environment (S.Krizmanic@latrobe.edu.au).  This will ensure the University can activate its support arrangements.  Georgina Hanna or another member of the La Trobe University Student Wellbeing Team will reach out you if you are in self-isolation to check in on how you are going, suggest strategies on managing during this unique time, and exploring whether there is anything the University can do to support you.
