2022 Mentoring Women Program

The Mentoring Women program provides an opportunity for women at university who have not yet started their final year of undergraduate study to connect with economists at Department of Treasury and Finance Victoria (DTF). Students do not need to be studying economics to participate in the program but should have a genuine interest in exploring what a career in economics and public policy might look like for them.

In the program, university students are paired with mentors from DTF and have one-on-one mentoring sessions throughout the second half of 2022. Students also have an opportunity to network with other program participants at learning and development sessions on topical economic issues.

The program welcomes applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds, including students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander or come from linguistically diverse households, LGBTIQ+ students, students with disability and students from regional Victoria.
