He is the foundation director of the Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention and an associate professor in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration at the University of Hong Kong. He leads a multi-disciplinary research team to advocate a public health approach to reduce the number of suicides in Hong Kong, in the region and globally.
