Teaching Scholars

La Trobe is committed to ensuring high quality learning experiences for our students and a culture that recognises and rewards great teaching. There are currently a number of initiatives being delivered in this space.

Initiatives

Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL)

SOTL Seminars - Learning in the Digital Age

Be supported in your learning and teaching practice by hearing from award winning colleagues who have been involved in a variety of initiatives offered by La Trobe Learning and Teaching (LTLT)

Since 2009, LTLT has coordinated the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SOTL) research network. The network provides staff at La Trobe with the opportunities to obtain feedback in order to advance and publish their SOTL projects and inquiries.

These sessions comprise 2 x 30 minute presentations, with each presentation including opportunities for participants to ask questions and clarify approaches to improving the student learning experience explained.  The emphasis is on providing participants with ways of implementing the innovations into their own practice.  Presenters are encouraged to share resources and engage in collegial discussions.

Register for SOTL seminars here.

Please note: SOTL seminars are finished for the year and new times will be posted in 2018.
