The Centre for Legislation, its Interpretation and Drafting offers unique opportunities for postgraduate research students interested in researching and writing in statutory interpretation, legislative drafting, and other specialist fields of legislation including the legislative process.
The Centre offers supervision in higher degree research (Masters and PhD) within the areas of expertise of the Centre’s academic staff.
The background of members of the Centre, and our partnerships with the judiciary and parliamentary counsel, mean postgraduate research undertaken through the Centre is informed by experience as well as theory.
To discuss the possibility of undertaking postgraduate research at Masters or Doctoral level with the Centre, please contact the Director, Dr Jeffrey Barnes.
For general information on how to apply for Higher Degree Research, see the La Trobe Law School HDR student page.
