Successful responses to violence against women, children and families must be undertaken in collaboration with stakeholders across many sectors and consider the complexity and diversity of women's lives and the communities in which they live. The health care system and those who work in it have a vital role to play in preventing violence and abuse and reducing its impacts. Progress is being made in identifying effective practices and policies to address violence against women, children and families, both within health care and more broadly. And yet, there is much more to do.
This conference will bring together global researchers, educators, health and social service providers and advocates to exchange knowledge and ideas and generate best practices to prevent and/or reduce the impacts of violence against women, children and families.
Abstracts for presentations that focus on research, innovations, educational initiatives, policies and programs that advance a vision of a violence free world will be accepted until April 15, 2016.
Three types of presentation are available:
- Oral presentations
- Poster presentations
