Renowned dancer and Principal Artist of The Australian Ballet Amber Scott fell in love with ballet at the age of five.
Amber moved to Melbourne from her home town of Brisbane at the age of 11 to join The Australian Ballet School. After graduating as dux, she joined The Australian Ballet in 2001 and was promoted to Principal Artist in 2011.
She has performed in many productions, including The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. Amber has performed with the company around the world and guested with The National Ballet of China, The Royal New Zealand Ballet, The Shanghai Ballet and for The Stuttgart Ballet's 50th Anniversary Gala.
Amber has a keen interest in anatomy and hopes to continue her studies in this area. We look forward to collaborating with Amber as she considers her eventual post-dance career path.
