There is a considerable amount of information available copyright-free on the website of the European Commission’s audiovisual service. Whilst this site tends to put a more positive spin on EU news and events (as it is produced by the EU itself), it is still a rich source of video and audio clips covering official EU meetings and speeches of EU leaders. These materials are particularly useful for illustrating the EU’s own perception of its role and activities, although it should be noted that many of the clips are dry and technical in nature and are probably not suitable for students in their entirety.
