Mulu Woldegiorgis has a PhD in Public Health and a Masters in Epidemiology. Her research interest is reproductive health. As part of her PhD research entitled ‘Reproductive Health Status in Sub-Saharan Africa, 1990-2016’, Mulu analysed datasets from the Routine Health Information System (RHIS), Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) and the World Bank databases for Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to her PhD, she was a data use manager at Johns Hopkins University’s HIV-AIDS project in Ethiopia. She has also worked as a health promotion and disease prevention officer at the Federal Ministry of Health, Ethiopia.
Mulu is currently working as a data manager for a follow-up study at Swinburne University of Technology. Across her career, Mulu has gained diverse experience in designing, conducting, analysing and reporting health related data and managing large datasets. In this lunchtime seminar, Mulu will present on the measurement of reproductive health indicators in sub-Saharan Africa.
