This 4-day in-person course provides a basic introduction to core concepts of family therapy theory and practice. It will help you develop new ways of understanding difficulties impacting on families and a range of approaches to intervention. The course is a combination of didactic and experiential delivery which seeks to integrate theoretical concepts with practice. It is useful in enhancing your work with families, or if you would like a taste of what it might be like to participate in our postgraduate courses.

Suitable for
Case managers, counsellors, social workers, psychologists, nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, welfare and youth workers, and others in the helping professions.
No prior knowledge or experience of family work is required.
Please note: This course is a requirement of entry for those undertaking the second level of the Master of Clinical Family Therapy Program who have not already completed either level one of the Program or its equivalent. For more information, visit Master of Clinical Family Therapy.
