The workshop introduces you to the key concepts, ideas and strategies that underpin learning and teaching at La Trobe University. You will discover more about the nature of our diverse student cohort and how this diversity has shaped our approach to the complex business of learning and teaching. On completion of this module, you should be able to:

  1. articulate what is distinctive about La Trobe’s approach to learning and teaching
  2. describe the diversity of our student cohort
  3. provide a coherent account of how students learn
  4. develop an inclusive teaching approach
  5. plan for those first few weeks using the resources provided for you in this module
  6. access the resources as you need them to develop your learning and teaching skills
