Feeding challenges and picky eating are common challenges for families with autistic children. Come learn what is known about autism and feeding challenges, tips and trick for how to manage challenges during mealtime, and learn about ongoing opportunities to be involved in research. Families will have an opportunity to ask questions and will be provided a resource that includes a summary of Brittany’s top recommendations for families.
Speaker bio:
Brittany St. John is an occupational therapist and a Fulbright postdoctoral scholar at the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre at La Trobe University. She has expertise in feeding challenges in autistic children and is interested in supporting families in managing feeding challenges during daily life. Brittany is currently researching effective family-mediated interventions.
