Homo sacer (‘sacred man’) is a concept from ancient Rome, which proposed that a person who has been removed from society and the laws that govern it could be killed without consequence. This new exhibition, curated by artists Nick Modrzewski and Jack Ky Tan, brings together a group of sculptural, painting and video artworks to explore how the law is embedded in our bodies and our material and social realities, and to consider the affect of its withdrawal.
