Are you confused about how to configure an LMS assignment as a group activity within LMS? Have you used the LMS assignment for individual assessment but are now looking to expand that to a group activity but unsure where to start?

You may have already found that developing an LMS group assignment is not as simple as enabling an option in the activity and it can be overwhelming and confusing for academics in configuring an LMS group assignment while also avoiding the pitfalls.

In this session, we will take you through all the activities and explain the processes to correctly configure an LMS group assignment with all the pre-requisites elements fully explained step by step.

We will also cover best practices in relation to the timing of activities and more importantly why settings are configured as they are.

At the end of this session, you will have a full understanding of all the interrelated activities to create a successful LMS group assignment.

  • Create Groups & Grouping including naming conventions
  • Configure a Group self-selection activities
  • Configure LMS group assignment including access restrictions
  • Exporting group membership into a CSV file
