When Cleopatra and Antony stood side by side they were at the pinnacle of power. Kleopatra VII Thea Philopator was the queen of an ancient civilisation, and heir to the unmatched cultural achievements of Greece. Marcus Antonius of Rome contended for control of the empire.
Together they fought against Octavian and would bring about the end of the republic, and the start of a new age for Rome. Their love affair, their war together, and their defeat has been retold over the centuries. And now for one night only, it will be told in a live podcast spectacular to celebrate the 200th episode of the Emperors of Rome podcast.
Emperors of Rome is a La Trobe University podcast presented by Rhiannon Evans and Matt Smith.
The speakers request attendees wear a mask to this event.
