The message conveyed by global media can be a powerful one, useful in influencing public perception and shaping politics, local media and information environments. For China it offers potential, and the superpower is actively seeking to insert itself into many other countries’ elections, social media, media, and overall politics, including that of the United States.
In this live online recording of the Asia Rising podcast we speak to Joshua Kurlantzick, author of Beijing's Global Media Offensive about China’s attempts to build a media and information superpower around the world.
