With a beautiful campus and closed roads in Melbourne, the event offers opportunities for the local community to participate in cycling. La Trobe University has provided a fantastic venue, with a scenic 3km course, fully closed roads, coached introductory sessions, great facilities with food and coffee, and an event village with atmosphere. This is how to integrate cycling into the city.

What is the Come & Try?

The Come & Try is an opportunity for those interested in racing to have a go. We know there are a lot of recreational riders doing fondos, Zwift and Beach Road who may want to try their hand at racing but are unsure what it's all about. This is under the supervision of certified coaches and marshals who will give participants a flavour for racing and under the safety of closed roads.

Entry is free for La Trobe Staff and Students and registration can be completed here.

For members of the public, entry is $10 and can be purchased online. No race license is required, but you do need a functioning road bike.
