Discover how artists have reimagined historic works from the collection of Bendigo Art Gallery and in doing so, have challenged the nature of art as historic record and the role of the artist as documenter, and commentator on the world.
This forum provides the public with the opportunity to join artists, curators, academics and students of La Trobe’s fully-accredited, place based subject Exhibiting Culture, as they interrogate the role of contemporary art in the reframing and redressing of cultural history.
Exhibiting Culture is delivered by La Trobe Art Institute in partnership with Bendigo Art Gallery.
