This is an excellent opportunity to gain an understanding of the requirements for the use of animals in research and teaching.
You will hear from a representative from the State Government who oversee the regulation of animal use in Victoria, the Senior Animal Ethics Officer, the Chair of the Animal Ethics Committee, as well as a member of the Animal Ethics Committee.
Attendance at Induction Workshop is COMPULSORY for new students and staff members who intend on involving animals in their research and teaching, plus anyone who has not attended previously.
