Join farmer and VFF Director, Emma Germano, along with a panel of agribusiness professionals as they discuss the personal and systemic challenges of working in a male dominated industry.
An event for all men and women with an interest in how gender equality in agribusiness can drive innovation and strengthen economic and social outcomes for the whole industry.
Keynote speaker
Emma Germano is the Managing Director of I Love Farms, President of the Victorian Farmers Federation Horticulture Group and a recipient of the Nuffield Australia Farming Scholarship. She has been recognised as an emerging agricultural leader passionate about Australian farming and has appeared as a panel member on ABC’s Q and A. In April 2017,
Emma launched her new business, a mobile app called hellofarmerthat assists farmers to recruit and induct farm labour, encouraging farm employment best practice.
Facilitator
Amalia Di Iorio is a Professor of Finance at La Trobe University with an active international research profile and numerous highly regarded publications. Professor Di lorio has a particular interest in women’s financial literacy and other factors that influence positive outcomes for women.

$25 – All proceeds from ticket sales are donated to the Regional Women in Leadership Bursary.
The Regional Women in Leadership Bursary is a fund established through income received from donations and ticket sales to regional Women in Leadership events. The purpose of the fund is to provide bursaries to female La Trobe University students in regional Victoria who are aspiring to leadership positions within their chosen field.
