Learning support

To ensure students are equipped for meeting the challenges of their academic and future work-life, the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Commerce (ASSC) has developed learning support services, offered at each La Trobe campus.

The terms 'full-time' and 'part-time' relate to the number of subjects you take per semester and therefore the amount of time you will commit to study. Most undergraduate and postgraduate courses offer full-time and part-time study options.

Learning environments and facilities

The newly renovated Donald Whitehead Building, a major focus of the redevelopment of the eastern sector of the Melbourne campus, is the home of La Trobe Business School (LBS). In Melbourne’s CBD, the home of La Trobe Business School is 360 Collins Street (City Campus).

Library staff

Student Learning

The Student Learning Unit aims to ensure that all students – including those from non-English-speaking backgrounds – have access to tools for developing the high-level academic speaking, writing, reading, and numeracy skills required for successful learning in their course.
