Dr Nicola McNeil

Dr Nicola McNeil is Head of the Department of Management and Marketing in the La Trobe Business School. She is a leading educator in human resource management and research methods, and received the Vice Chancellor’s Commendation for Excellence in Teaching in 2018. Dr McNeil’s research focuses on the impact of human resource management practices on employee performance, wellbeing and experience of work. She has published in leading journals including the Journal of International Business Studies, the Journal of Business Ethics and the International Journal of HRM. Dr McNeil is a professional member of the Australian Institute of Human Resource Management. She is also an instructor for the Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Inc. and offers courses on the use of computer-assisted qualitative data analysis and mixed methods research.

Professor Suzanne Young

Professor Suzanne Young is Associate Dean (Academic Partnerships), responsible for the La Trobe Business School's domestic and international teaching, research and internship partnerships. She is a Professor of Management (Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility) and has expertise in corporate governance, corporate responsibility, leadership and management. Her research projects and consultancies involve working with governments, industry, non-profit organisations, and employer and employee associations in ethics and cyber technology, corporate responsibility and global citizenship, leadership and organisational change. Professor Young was influential in La Trobe University becoming a signatory to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education and was instrumental in the La Trobe Business School being a Principles of Responsible Management Education Champion since 2016.

Professor Alex Maritz

Professor Alex Maritz is a Professor in Entrepreneurship and has expertise in senior entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, networks and collaborations. He is currently leading a multi-disciplinary research team exploring hybrid entrepreneurship. Professor Maritz has published over 200 papers on entrepreneurship and innovation. He is Vice-President of the International Association of Organizational Innovation (United States of America). Current and previous visiting professor appointments include Saarland University (Germany), Chan Jung University (Taiwan), HuaQiao University (China) and RMIT (Vietnam). Professor Maritz was the recipient of the Australian Learning and Teaching Citation for excellence in entrepreneurship education.

Professor Clare D’Souza

Professor Clare D’Souza is a Professor in Marketing and has expertise in sustainable marketing practices, consumer behaviour and marketing education. She has over 150+ publications that are original and distinctive in the way they combine ideas on sustainability, marketing and other significant managerial areas in industry. Professor D’Souza has been a strategic consultant for many international organisations and has advised private and government agencies in both Australia and overseas. In 2012, she was awarded the OLT National Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning and, in 2016, she was recognised as a finalist by the United Nations for research with impact/teaching and curriculum design in sustainability. She has a research appointment at the Governance, Marketing and Sustainability Research Centre at the University of the Basque Country (Spain), and collaborations with researchers in Malaysia, China, Canada, India and Portugal.
