Course intended learning outcomes

• Apply critical reflective practice to solve complex local and global public health problems responsive to the needs of different contexts and stakeholder groups.
• Conceive, create, lead, and evaluate achievable public health initiatives through synthesising theoretical principles of public health practice and apply project management tools and techniques underpinned by contemporary theoretical models
• Draw on expert judgement to drive public health advocacy and demonstrate competence and autonomy as an advocate for public health initiatives.
• Effectively communicate ideas and information to different audiences in diverse setting to promote public health goals.
• Synthesise and assemble relevant data to analyse the performance of the health care system or organisation to enhance patient care and population health outcome to maximise organisational potential.
• Investigate funding and financing arrangements and government policy to create, revise, implement and evaluate evidence-based strategies that enhance population health and maximise organisational potential and inform resource allocation decisions.
• Apply research principles and methods to critically appraise the health management body of knowledge and apply ethical evidence-based leadership skills across diverse organisational environments.

The Destination Australia scheme supports new international students to study in regional Australia and offers students a high-quality learning experience. For eligible applicants, these scholarships are worth up to A$15 000 per annum for up to four years.
