The Graduate Diploma of Communication (Journalism Innovation) is designed to help aspiring and mid-career journalists and communication practitioners develop insights and concrete responses to the contemporary, changing media industry. The focus is on enhancing journalistic practice whilst developing skills essential for the 21st century media professional. The graduate diploma is a program of study offering choices in a range of cutting edge coursework subjects, as well as research project options that can provide an opportunity progress to the Master of Communication (Journalism Innovation).

Entry requirements


Successful completion of an undergraduate degree (or equivalent); or five or more years of relevant work experience.

NB: Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.
