Master of Management (Project Management)
This course brings together students from a diverse mix of academic backgrounds ranging from engineering, information technology and science, to management and business, in a way that facilitates dynamic multidisciplinary innovation and the exchange of ideas.
You'll develop knowledge and skills required for effective management and responsible leadership, with a particular emphasis in project management. You'll explore a range of project management principles and their application within a quality management framework including developing a project management plan, verifying and controlling the project scope, defining, scheduling and allocating resources and monitoring project quality and best practice.
We offer a flexible timetable that allows you to balance your study with other commitments. All core subjects are available as evening classes.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9.
Academic entry requirement
An Australian Bachelor's degree in any discipline or an approved equivalent qualification. Admission may be granted to applicants without an undergraduate degree but with five or more years of relevant work experience. In making an offered to an applicant, the University may give consideration to a range of factors including English proficiency, academic record and employment experience.
NB: Meeting minimum entry requirements does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.
English language requirement
IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0.

Graduates may find roles in the management discipline and/or specifically in a broad range of roles as a project manager practitioner.
Graduates of the Master of Management (Project Management) may apply for membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Membership may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.
