Master of International Business
Global markets are of increasing importance in all spheres of business and our Master of International Business develops your understanding of international business and the global economy, as well as the role of managers in this context.
Delivered by one of Australia's leading business schools, the course builds on a broad foundation of study in economics, accounting and finance, management, marketing and statistics.
You'll explore both the macro and micro aspects of international business environments, examining the functional strategies of multinational corporations across a range of areas including marketing and human resource management.
You can choose from a wide range of elective subjects offered as part of the course or from other areas of the University, and take your studies overseas with offshore internship opportunities.
The course facilitates entry into a range of challenging and rewarding careers in international business. You'll be prepared for roles in organisations with a global outlook, including joint ventures, import and export companies, and other companies engaged in international trade.
Our graduates are employed in management, sales and consulting roles - locally and internationally - with companies including Nestle, News Corp, Johnson & Johnson, Land Rover and Coles.
Previous work experience is not a requirement for the course and recent graduates are welcome to apply. The course is also suitable if you're a graduate already in the workforce and seeking to move from the domestic business sector into the international business environment.
Graduates of the Master of International Business may apply for membership with Australian Institute of Management (AIM). Membership may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.
