Master of Educational Leadership and Management
This course is designed for anyone who aspires to leadership roles in an educational organisation, or who is interested in understanding more about management and leadership positions within these contexts.
Participants come from a range of educational settings, including higher education, TAFE, and primary and secondary schools within Australia and overseas. We also focus on international and comparative perspectives of organisations.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9.
Academic entry requirement
A three or four-year Australian Bachelor's degree or approved international equivalent. If you have a four-year Bachelor of Education, an Honours degree or a relevant specialist Graduate Diploma from a recognised university or institution, you may be eligible for 60 credit points of Advanced Standing (credit).
NB: Meeting minimum entry requirements does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.
English language requirement
IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0.

Graduate positions can include leading teacher, educational management consultant, policy and planning officer, education officer, school principal or vice-principal and lecturer or tutor.
