The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9.

Entry requirements

Academic entry requirement

Australian Bachelor's degree or international equivalent, with a minimum C grade (60%) average in the final year and three years' relevant managerial experience. Applicants with more than eight year's relevant managerial experience but without an undergraduate degree may be considered for professional entry.
NB: Meeting minimum entry requirements does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.

English language requirement

IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0.

Professional recognition

The Master of Business Administration has EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Professional registration may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.

Graduates of the Master of Business Administration may apply for membership with the Institute of Managers and Leaders (IML) and the Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA). Membership may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.

You must pay all costs related to international study tours, including travel, meals and accommodation. Costs vary depending on location (all accepted students are eligible to apply for travel grants).
