Graduate Diploma in Science
This course is a research training pathway and offers you study options in various disciplines, depending on the campus. Study areas include botany, microbiology, statistics, and ecology, environment and evolution.
You will complete equivalent requirements to the relevant Honours program in your selected discipline.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 8.
Academic entry requirement
An Australian Bachelor's degree or approved international equivalent, with a major in a relevant area.
NB: Meeting minimum entry requirements does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.
English language requirement
IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0.

Depending on the specific studies selected, you may work as a scientist or in the public sector.
