This program enables you to conduct research in a wide range of areas including but not restricted to: animal nutrition, animal health, parasitology, endocrinology crop and pasture nutrition, soil science and domestic

animal endocrinology, developmental biology and neurobiology.

The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9.

Entry requirements

English language requirement

IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0.

Academic entry requirement

An Australian degree with Honours in science, or its equivalent, with a specialisation in an agricultural or biological discipline. If you have Honours at H2B level or equivalent, you may still be considered in some instances.

Career outcomes

Professional recognition

Graduates of the Master of Agricultural Science may apply for membership with the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (AIAST). Membership may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the AIAST for details.
