Master of Professional Accounting (Business Analytics)
The Master of Professional Accounting (Business Analytics) builds on the Master of Professional Accounting, which is designed to give you a thorough understanding of accounting concepts as they are applied to diverse business environments. The Business Analytics specialisation will equip you with the skills and knowledge to undertake business analytics using industry standards tools. It is an ideal course for those wanting to seek employment within the accounting profession with an intimate knowledge of data analytical tools.
The minimum entry requirement is successful completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent). Prior learning developed through relevant work experience or professional accreditation, where it is deemed to be at least equivalent to that obtained through a Bachelor degree, may be considered. In making an offer to an applicant, the University will give consideration to a range of factors to determine whether an applicant has demonstrated the capacity to work at a Masters level, including academic record, English proficiency, and/or employment experience.
Graduates with specialisations and working toward professional membership are highly regarded by prospective employers. To become a CPA, graduates are required to gain three years' work experience as well as completing the CPA program.
The Master of Professional Accounting (Business Analytics) is accredited by CPA Australia. Membership may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.
