The Graduate Certificate in Sport Management is designed to provide a foundation in the basics of the sport management field and provide a pathway into postgraduate study.

The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 8.

Entry requirements

Prerequisites

An Australian Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline or an approved equivalent qualification. Admission may be granted to applicants without a cognate undergraduate degree but with a demonstrated minimum of at least five years relevant business experience.

NB: Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place. Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.

Career outcomes

Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Sport Management may use the course as the first step towards a management position in the sporting industry.
