Summer at the NGV
As the NGV’s official summer Learning Partner, we offer our students the only university-accredited subject taught with the gallery.
Want to get up close and personal with major NGV exhibitions? As part of our Summer at the NGV elective, you’ll study a truly diverse selection of works that explore the intersection of art, design, science and technology around the globe.
The industry learning environment offered by this subject is second-to-none. You’ll be studying original works of art in a world-class exhibition, guided by leading academics in their field and an arts and cultural organisation at the top of its game.
Summer at the NGV 2021: NGV Triennial
In February 2021, Summer at the NGV students will be invited to question the status quo with NGV Triennial.
Discover the nexus of art, design, science and technology. This bold and ambitious exhibition will traverse contemporary art, design and architecture in the one thought-provoking exhibit.
Students who enrol in the Summer at the NGV subject will be led by both NGV curatorial staff and La Trobe academics from a range of disciplines – experts who’ll guide you through the intersecting ideas, microcosms and artforms.
Like every year, Summer at the NGV students will have access to the exhibition space. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the course will be delivered in blended mode with online content.
Enrolments open on 14 October 2020.
