We have been an accredited Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace since 2010 and continue to provide a breastfeeding friendly environment, with breastfeeding or parenting rooms to support mothers.
Many women return to full-time or part-time work or study after having children. Many of these children continue to be breastfed while their mothers work or study. La Trobe supports and values the importance of having the time and space to provide food for their babies, whether by expressing milk or breastfeeding.
The Babies Room/Rest Room is located on Level 1, Michael J Osborne Building (Building 4), in room 4244. The room is equipped with a refrigerator, sink, table and chair or bed and a toilet to meet the needs of student and staff mothers continuing their work or study while breastfeeding at the Albury-Wodonga campus.
The David Mann Library has a range of study spaces, computer workstations, wireless internet, photocopying and print services. It's a shared facility with Wodonga TAFE and The Murray-Darling Freshwater Centre.
Dedicated La Trobe librarians can assist with research and other information needs. La Trobe students have access to the full library collection, plus all borrowable materials held at any La Trobe campus library through a very efficient intercampus lending system. La Trobe library's extensive holdings of online journals and other electronic resources are accessible 24/7 and University-networked computers are readily available.
