We have continued expanding our international focus forming partnerships with universities nationally and across Asia and Europe. Our overseas student exchange program provides opportunities for our students to expand their horizons, both personally and academically, while our study abroad options grow our diverse university culture.

Our MBA and our Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Hospitality) have been awarded EPAS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).This is the first MBA program in Australia to be recognised by the EFMD, which is one of the leading global accreditation bodies in the field of business and management, offering an assurance of quality and excellence.

Humanities and Social Sciences

We have over 20 elected Fellows of the Australian Academies of either Humanities or Social Sciences. We have an excellent record of success in Australian Research Council (ARC) grants, including the first ARC grant for Indigenous archaeology awarded in Victoria in recent times.

We have a long and distinguished tradition of industry and community involvement. We deliver subjects collaboratively through our learning partnerships, including with the National Gallery of Victoria, Bendigo Art Gallery and Bendigo Writers Festival.

Several of our degrees are designed in consultation industry advisory boards and accredited with relevant professional bodies including the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) and the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA). Our students have access to industry professionals through their study and many choose to take professional practice through our extensive industry networks.

We offer education courses which embrace inclusive, contemporary and innovative approaches to education. We pride ourselves on a commitment to teaching and research of the highest quality, and on continued community, professional and industry relevance.

Our undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses provide in-depth preparation for a range of careers in primary, secondary and higher education, educational leadership roles, alternative educational settings, outdoor education environments, and in expanding fields within the education sector and the wider global community.

Our new two year Master of Teaching program is one of the first Graduate Teaching programs in Victoria to gain national accreditation under the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
