This one-day, free forum is ideal for a range of staff and service providers working with older people (both in the community and residential aged care settings) and will focus on LGBTI inclusive strategies and actions to increase outcomes for older LGBTI people and young LGBTI people accessing aged care. Participants will be invited to reflect on their practice in relation to a range of topics, including: social inclusion programs and strategies; LGBTI cultural safety and risk management; the Commonwealth Aged Care Diversity Framework and soon-to-be-released LGBTI Action Plan; and strategies for engaging and communicating with older LGBTI Victorians. LGBTI elders are welcome to attend.

The forum will include formal presentations, interactive workshops, film, and importantly the participation and voices of LGBTI older people.
