We have a congenial research environment and we encourage and support joint research with academics within the department, college and other universities. We encourage research on topical and contemporary issues that lead to publications in internationally recognised journals, and the professors and other senior staff are highly skilled to support such research.
The Department of Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics and Finance is committed to actively engaging with business, policy-makers and the professions in the pursuit of relevant and high impact research. The Department is an innovative research hub that focuses on delivering research outcomes that have significant impact on the community, and is home to researchers from around the globe.
While many of our staff conduct individual research in their areas of specialisation, the Department actively promotes cross disciplinary research that delivers effective outcomes for the private, public and non-profit sectors.
We have a diverse research program in economics and finance, including asset pricing and investment, corporate finance and governance, financial market microstructure and information, and financial econometrics and quantitative finance. Our academic staff members often publish influential papers with high impact in leading journals. We offer active Honours and PhD programs with our academic members available for PhD supervision in their respective research fields.
