Health and wellbeing

We’re here to help you get the most out of all aspects of your life.

Looking after yourself and your personal wellbeing means you’re in the best position to achieve your goals now and in the future.

You’ll access events, activities and resources to help you:

  • take care of your physical health
  • build better relationships
  • create emotional resilience
  • get financially fit.

Caring for your wellbeing

Your full-time health and wellbeing coordinators and student leaders for the Melbourne and Bendigo Campus offer wellness initiatives such as:

  • cooking classes
  • laughter yoga
  • 'free food' pantry
  • 30 day lifestyle challenge.

Smaller-scale health and wellbeing programs are also available to residents at our regional campuses.

Our Residential Education Coordinators are trained to understand the unique experience of living on campus and can respond to incidents or concerns regarding residential behaviour and wellbeing.

To support a safe and secure environment we also have an After Hours Coordinator and Accommodation Officers, offering assistance available to residents 24/7.

In addition, we work closely with our Student Leadership Team, La Trobe University Divisions and specialist staff to support the wellbeing needs of our residential community.

We also recognise the importance of a collegial response to wellbeing: our Rules of Residence outline what is expected of you as a resident.

Student Wellbeing Services

La Trobe also offers a broad range of Student Wellbeing Services including support and counselling services which are available to all University students.
