Student successes - 2007 graduates

Rebecca McIntosh - PhD - Field Assistant, EPA Victoria & Environmental Consultant
Since finishing my PhD in 2007 I have worked as a consultant, travelled to a conference in South Africa and worked for five months with the Environment Protection Authority (EPA).
As a consultant I have been involved in several projects including drafting the issues paper for the white shark and the grey nurse shark and working for the Department of Fisheries in Perth, Curtin University and the South Australian Museum teaching researchers to age Australian sea lions using teeth. I have also continued my field research on Australian sea lions. At the EPA, I am working as a field assistant and technician with the Marine Unit monitoring the water quality in Port Phillip Bay and Gippsland Lakes.
I really enjoy the diversity of my work and all the opportunities that are available globally.
