Note:
The Heron Island Field Course is offered at the end of 2012 for students enrolled in ZOO3EPA and/or ZOO3EPB in 2012. If the minimum quota is not met, then the field course will be opened to the student cohort who will be enrolling in third year for 2013.
Each semester subject in third year Zoology has three components.
Wildcard components, such as field
courses and a research project, may be used to replace one of the standard components . Please be aware that field courses are run outside normal semester times (i.e. November/December and Easter). If you enrol in a subject, the standard components are selected by default unless you indicate to replace one or more of these with a wildcard component. It is possible to have
up to three wildcard components, but each wildcard component can
only be counted once. You should consult the La Trobe Handbook
in conjunction with the information provided on the various options when making your
choice, to ensure that you meet appropriate pre-requisites. But please note that the
component descriptions and options provided in our component descriptions webpage supersede those in the Handbook
