"The Friends Scholarship"

This memorial scholarship is in honour of Andrew Earl and Kate Cummings (nee Cooper).

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist the transition of students who find it necessary to live away from home to attend university, undertaking a course in psychological science.

Amount:

The scholarship will be $2,000 p.a. for the first year of full-time study enrolment, payable in two equal payments in each semester at census date.

Selection criteria:

For students enrolling into a Psychological Science single or double degree, and who are required to have moved away from home to undertake studies. Students are required to state their reasons for choosing to move away to undertake these studies, and an explanation of why they need assistance. Applicants are also ranked on academic merit.

This scholarship is available to :

Australian domestic undergraduate students enrolling into first year. Students could be enrolling at any of the relevant La Trobe University campuses. If no suitable undergraduate student is available, the scholarship can be awarded to a postgraduate student in psychology in a similar circumstance.
