The Research and Graduate Studies Office (RGSO), provides prospective research postgraduates with information about research opportunities at La Trobe. RGSO also provides assistance to La Trobe academics in applying for grants and fellowships.

Opening Hours: 9.00am - 4.45pm (Monday - Friday). Closed between 1pm and 2pm.

What’s New

Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC) 2008 - Field of Research (FOR) and Socio Economic Objectives (SEO) New

The ABS has recently introduced a new set of codes to replace the former RFCD and SEO codes. The ANZSRC replaces the Australian Standard Research Classification (ASRC 1998) and introduces a new framework for measuring research and development activity. More information can be obtained from the ABS site. An extract from the ANZSRC of the FOR and SEO codes can be viewed here. The codes will be used for the Excellence in Research Australia initiative. All new research activity, in particular ARC and NHMRC grant applications will now require the use of the ANZSRC codes.
