Background
- Dr Philipa Rothfield has lectured in women's studies, cultural and social theory;
- member of the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria;
- dances and reviews performance for RealTime, an Australian arts magazine;
- Convenor of the Choreography and Corporeality working group of the Federation of International Theatre Research;
- founding member of the Global Reconciliation Network;
- currently working on philosophy of the body, drawing upon dance practice as a site of its articulation;
- recently completed work on phenomenological approaches to the body;
- now researching the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche on corporeality.
