Background
  • Dr Philipa Rothfield has lectured in women's studies, cultural and social theory;
  • member of the Chinese Medicine Registration Board of Victoria;
  • dances and reviews performance for RealTime, an Australian arts magazine;
  • Convenor of the Choreography and Corporeality working group of the Federation of International Theatre Research;
  • founding member of the Global Reconciliation Network;
  • currently working on philosophy of the body, drawing upon dance practice as a site of its articulation;
  • recently completed work on phenomenological approaches to the body;
  • now researching the writings of Friedrich Nietzsche on corporeality.
