Philosophy ProgramStaff Profiles
BackgroundJanna has recently completed a project on historical obligations and is presently doing research on intergenerational justice and global justice. She has written books on global justice, discourse ethics and historical obligations and many and has published articles on other subjects including feminism, environmental ethics and politics, philosophy of the social sciences, and the ethics of war. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Janna has been involved in environmental and other political organizations for many years and her interest and work in applied ethics arises from a conviction that it is important for philosophers to critically assess the values of their society and to participate in debates about important public issues.
